US wheat opened slightly higher before rallying significantly, it dipped sharply in later trade before staging a recovery to close higher for the day. Support was provided from funds which purchased significantly on the day. Chicago wheat for March 2009 is up 9 ½ cent at 578 ¼ cents per bushel.
Chicago corn for May 2009 is up 25 ¾ cents at 391 cents per bushel.
Winnipeg canola for March 2009 is up $2.10 to $443.10 Canadian a tonne.
AWB’s Fixed grade APW1 contract price for the 08/09 season are unchanged today at:
$273.00 – Brisbane $265.00 – Gladstone $288.00 – Newcastle $288.00 – Port Kembla $303.00 – Geelong $303.00 – Portland $290.00 – Port Adelaide $293.00 – Port Lincoln AWB’s 0809 canola price today is $560.00 per tonne, based on 42% oil, delivered Numurkah in January.
